Man hospitalized after drive-by sharpened in Newport News

Newport News, Va. – A Newport News male was taken to a sanatorium after being shot twice in a drive-by shooting.

Police contend they responded to a call of a sharpened only after 6 a.m. Sunday in a 1800 retard of Ivy Avenue in Newport News.

When officers arrived they found a 19-year-old male who had been shot in a feet and a buttocks. Police contend his injuries are not life-threatening.

According to witnesses, a car with presumably 4 people inside, gathering by a plant and one of them shot a victim.

Police do not have any information on a think or a motive.

This is a same travel where another sharpened happened final week.

About half a mile divided a lady got held in a crossfire of dual shooters.

Her SUV was strike several times though she was not injured.

Police have done an detain in that shooting.
